Course Description
Algebra 1 is the foundation math for all the higher mathematics. It bridges the concrete to the abstract study of mathematics. The topics include the following: equations and inequalities, linear systems, exponents and polynomials, and functions (linear, quadratic, exponential, radical and rational). Real world and practical applications are discussed and emphasized. These are taught with rigor in order that students will be able to successfully pass the AIMS (Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards) in their sophomore year.
